  • I created a promotional video to showcase the game to a wide audience, with the goal of raising interest for the Alpha release of the game.

  • I have worked alongside Zack Telander since 2017 to help him develop his small, highly niche Youtube Channel into one of the leading figures in his particular field of Olympic Weightlifting and Strength Training.
  • Through a combination of developing my video editing skills and my own interest and deep knowledge of sports, fitness and social media, we were able to grow what would normally not be of much interest into a powerhouse within the industry, to a position where many of the largest figures regularly interact with and create content with Zack Telander.

  • I now create videos for use on the Weightlifting House TV app, bringing training videos to the audience on a subscription based platform.
  • The video is 4k, and delivered quickly, requiring use of Media Encoder to create proxies to improve the workflow speed, and a high level of management skills across the project, to keep everything operating to a tight schedule or ingesting, deploying and publishing.
  • The videos require use of colour correction, audio balancing, graphics and text overlays alongside editing the video to keep it relevant and entertaining.

About me and Web Design

I entered Web Development primarily out of interest, and the need to build tools to help promote and log my other projects, such as blog posts, devlogs and online stores.

Throughout the learning progress I quickly realised how deep, powerful and chaotic web development really was, so naturally my curiosity took over and I began to plunger further and further into the field.

About me and Game Development

I have been interested in video games for as long as I can remember. From an early age in hospital at 5 or 6, I have distinct memories of playing Sonic The Hedgehog over and over. And then back at home, my father would routinely come home with new games to run on the family computer, with DOOM, Quake, Turok and Hexen/Heretic being mainstays in daily activity.

Since then, I acquired a Playstation 1, and everything grew from there, with an ever growing hunger for adventure and action, the need to play and investigate every nook and cranny grew. At one point, my high school acquired a whole room full of computers locally connected across a network...

At 16, I decided to study Video Game Design at Huddersfield New College, getting a good grasp of the whole process, and many of the surrounding fields, like Games Journalism and the history of the whole thing. Admittedly, a lot of time was spent just playing games in class with tutors.

Then, at University I started studying further Game Development, working my way through the first year and exploring Game Design, Theory, Programming and 3D Modelling. Unfortunately, I had to stop due to health problems.

Eventually, I returned to a new Degree, studying Graphic Design and Illustration. However, the vast majority of my work within that degree had a heavy tilt towards video games, and eventually after graduating, video games managed to wriggle back into my life. And here we are now.

Since 2021, I have pushed harder into actually making games more than just consuming them. I have produced a few small games on itch.io, each being 2D and utilising the art skills I honed through my degree. Now, I am working on a much larger, 3D, FPS project in Unity centred mostly around shooting mechs and robots, which is almost certainly one of the best things in life.

About me and Video Editing/Production

I started Video Editing freelance in 2016, looking for creative work I could complete remotely while travelling. In the end, I settled down in the UK but still had the desire to continue in this highly intereresting field.

Over the years I have helped many other channels as well as my own to grow and produce exciting, engaging content that the audience ultimately perceives as highly valuable, which is essential to the quality of that channels' growth and overall assurance of quality and trustworthiness.

Overall, I find video editing to be an engaging, exciting and highly varied way to work with many interesting people, with each piece of work helping to improve the quality of the next.
